Prescription Iron Supplements

Chromagen

Two iron supplementation
for optimal absorption in a tried and true, yet improved formulation

Two iron forms provide unique mechanisms of absorption

  • 25 mg of Sumalate® (ferrous asparto glycinate) – chelated ferrous iron salt1
    – Highly soluble, efficiently absorbed, allowing for lower iron dosing1-5
  • 50 mg of ferrous fumarate – a well tolerated and bioavailable ferrous salt6

Two iron forms that offer earlier absorption of the ferrous salt
and more sustained absorption of the chelated iron3,4,6

  • Ferrous fumarate – more proximal absorption6,7
  • Sumalate® (ferrous asparto glycinate) – proximal and more distal absorption6,8

Folic acid alone is improper therapy in the treatment of pernicious anemia and other megaloblastic anemias where vitamin B12 is deficient. Folic acid in doses above 1.0 mg daily may obscure pernicious anemia in that hematologic remission can occur while neurological manifestations progress. One softgel daily, or as directed by a physician.
